Recap: Submitting new recipes

It’s been a while since we re-shared our recipe submission process, so we thought we’d take a moment to do this in advance of your September meals.

Sharing your recipes is a wonderful way to celebrate the diverse food, cultures, and memories which emerge when you cook and eat together 💜

Please remember to submit your new recipe to the recipe catalogue before cooking it at your meal. To allow us enough time to review and publish them before your meal, we’ve now introduced a minimum notice of 7 working days for new submissions.

Here’s some guidance on how to contribute a recipe to the Local Welcome Recipe Catalogue:

Note: the link might say ‘no access’ but you’ll be able to open it if you’re logged into Notion on the device you’re using.

Reminder: we have less capacity this month ☀️

Our team of four is continuing to support and cover work for each other as we take annual leave throughout August.

This means response times will continue to be longer than normal, and some tasks and requests might take a more time than usual for us to complete.

If you have any requests outside of our usual support tasks we’d appreciate being given as much notice as possible - that way we can make as much time to respond.

We thank you in advance for your patience, understanding and support 😊

Feedback of the week 💬

What did you like most about the whole day?

“I accompanied an asylum seeker family. The atmosphere was very welcoming and it was an opportunity for my friend and her children to meet new people and feel welcomed and valued That was particularly significant after the awful protests in early July which were very frightening for the family” - Member, Belfast
