(Some of) What we did this week…
- Debriefed a fantastic meal in Norwich with Hear Me Out (Funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund) 🎸🥁🎺
- Made a final decision on where to launch our next three groups (more details to come!) 🚀
- Met with one of our funders, King Charles III Charitable Fund, who have invited us to a special event in London to celebrate the coronation food project (see more below!)

What is the event?
We’ve been invited by one of our funders, King Charles III Charitable Fund, to attend the 1-year anniversary of the coronation food project!
You will get a chance to connect with representatives of other charities also doing interesting work around food and community.
We’d love to invite our Local Welcome leaders to this event, so please let us know ASAP if you’re interested in coming along! At least 1 member from the Local Welcome team will also be attending on the day.
The event will take place on the morning of Thursday 14 November in London. Specific timings to be confirmed. Please note that travel expenses will be covered.
(Some of) What we’re doing next week…
- Supporting our leaders towards preparing for November meals, including collaborating with Birmingham Museums to explore the history and culture of Birmingham's food scene 🍲
- Strengthening our current groups by recruiting more leaders through social media advertising 🤝
- Continuing work on new toolkits for the leader handbook 🧰
