(Some of) What we did this week…

Reminder: We're switching to 1st Sat/Sun month meals from March onwards

As you look to book in meals in the year ahead, we wanted to remind you that, from March, you'll have the option to run meals on either the 1st Saturday of the month or the 1st Sunday of the month.

We will no longer be offering on-call support on the 3rd Sunday of the month. This change doesn’t impact any meals booked in later this month, or in February.

We made this decision based on feedback we've received from some groups who aren’t able to host meals on Sundays sustainably, due to public transport constraints, and venue availability.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions about the new on-call schedule. We that hope this change will support both our current and new groups to grow and thrive in 2025.

Introducing: Our Oral History Archive

As our 2-year project with The National Lottery Heritage Fund comes to a close, we’re proud to share the oral histories that were recorded (and permitted to share publicly). Many of these recordings have also been archived with local heritage and community archives, preserved for future generations to hear, and to aid future historical research.

We hope you’ll enjoy listening to them as much as we have: https://www.localwelcome.org/oral-histories

Meal dates in February and March

If you haven’t booked and confirmed your meals in February and March already, please get in touch with your fellow leaders to organise the details, and nominate one person to fill out and submit the meal booking form: https://forms.gle/J9rDBD5m2u5XhXzw6
