  1. Time to reflect, look back over the last 10 years, and reminisce together
  2. Moments of shared celebration and remote connection as our UK-wide Local Welcome community comes together to watch
  3. Juicy details on our exciting plans to make our 10th year our biggest and best one yet!

Please pop the date and time in your diary, there will be more details to follow!

💜 Do you know someone who’d make a good Lived Experience Advocates Group member?

You may remember that we shared the news back in June that we’re launching a Lived Experience Advocates Group to represent members of Local Welcome who are refugees and people seeking sanctuary across the UK. The role description will be ready to share soon, so we wanted to put some feelers out in advance to get you thinking:

We’re looking for people who:

Being a LEAG member is a voluntary role, and the group will be made up of members from across the UK, so meetings will be held online via video call.

The LEAG group will be ‘critical friends’ to Local Welcome, meeting regularly to propose and discuss changes and improvements to our service.

Could you be a good fit for this role? Or, do any members with lived experience at your group come to mind? If so, please contact us to let us know, or get ready to send them a message when the role description is ready to share!

💰 Can you help us contact potential match-funders?

As you may know already, we’re celebrating our 10th Birthday towards the end of this year! 🎉
