• Launched our Digital Cookbook, analysed initial results, and made some user-feedback-led improvements to the webpage and ‘order’ process. Who’s had a chance to to check it out? Let us know your thoughts and feedback 🧑‍🍳
• Celebrated some funding application success whilst continuing to look ahead and apply for more 💰

💜 Supporting members who are (or at risk of becoming) homeless

Our groups are made up of diverse communities, and we know that some of our members may be more vulnerable to homelessness than others.

Whilst Local Welcome is not a housing organisation, we understand from your feedback that our kind and compassionate leaders would like to feel equipped to signpost those who are in need of support. Therefore, we’ve published some guidance in the Leader Handbook:

This is with the aim of supporting you to respond both confidently and with compassion when someone is at risk of - or experiencing - homelessness, helping you feel equipped to signpost individuals to the right support services.

🧠 Reminder: Our next Reflective Practice Session is next week!

Our next quarterly 50 min reflective practice session is on Wednesday 10th December at 5:30pm 💜 (For those who attended the last session - please note we’ve moved this back a week!)

These sessions are an opportunity to:

• Pause and check in with yourself, and other leaders
• Share, reflect and have your experiences of being a leader listened to, whilst in a supportive space with peers
• Discuss and exchange potential solutions to try out, which you can reflect and feed back on at the next session
