(Some of) What we did this week…
- Debriefed our incredible Grow the Welcome event last weekend - we are thrilled with how it turned out, and hope to organise a similar event sometime in the future! Thank you so much to those of you who gave up part of your weekend to travel over to join us, and to those of you who couldn’t make it - we hope to see you another time 💜
- Continued setting up, promoting and preparing for your October meals 🍜
- Designed a new way to promote meals to our refugee partners across the UK, to make this process more efficient 👩💻
👉 A note on your group’s ticket booking links
We received a question from a group recently regarding their ticket booking links which made us realise…we don’t think we’ve ever made it explicitly clear that the urls to your ticket booking pages never change! Therefore, we’ve added this information to this page to try and make it clearer:
‣
This means that (if they don’t include a date) your posters can be re-used - saving you time and the cost of re-printing them monthly!
Note: the link might say ‘no access’ but you’ll be able to open it if you’re logged into Notion on the device you’re using.
Some safety information we wanted to re-cap before your meals
How many approved leaders you need for a meal to go ahead:
- A meal needs at least two approved (safeguarding trained and disclosure checked) to ensure a meal can go ahead safely, and within our insurance requirements.
- Please ensure you inform our on-call officer of any leader absences on the day of a meal (or in the days running up) as soon as possible so we can support you in finding an alternative!
Managing your meal’s capacity and attendance safely:
Managing photo and video consent:
- Use our guidance in the handbook to manage video and photo consent as robustly as possible
- Please only share photos & videos with Local Welcome if informed consent is 100% confident
You can view a more comprehensive list of safety and quality information here in the Leader Handbook:
