Hello all, Here’s a short but sweet issue of Weeknotes this week. Enjoy!
What we’ve been focusing on this week
- Making further progress on launching new groups - some brief highlights include:
- Supporting a new leader as they kick off venue-finding in Norwich
- Getting dates in the diary for initial leader meetings in Belfast and Birmingham
- Having calls with interested leaders and members, sharing more about what we do, and answering their questions
- Sharing first steps for Soldo Card onboarding with our active groups
- If you’re a Cardiff, Derby or Liverpool leader you will have received a whatsapp from us this evening 😊
- Lining things up for our Heritage Lottery Oral Histories filming and recording day
- We met with Professor John Gabriel (Oral Histories Society) and Nice and Serious (creative agency providing pro-bono support for us) this week to continue planning our filming/recording day in Derby in February
(Some of) what we’re focusing on next week includes:
- Developing Oral History training for our leaders in Derby, Birmingham, Leicester and Newham
- We’re delivering this as part of our Heritage Lottery project in collaboration with with Professor John Gabriel
- Leading Birmingham’s initial group call
- We can’t wait to meet with our new and returning leaders 😍
- Onboarding leaders in Cardiff, Derby and Liverpool onto their Soldo cards
- We’re looking forward to seeing what we learn from this first test!
Video of the week
This week, we were excited to release our final cut of a promotional video we filmed (and Nice and Serious supported us with editing) in Derby last month on our website and social media this week. I’ve uploaded it below so you can enjoy it within the comfy interior of our weeknotes!:
