🦺 Safety Refresher 🦺

We wanted to provide you with a re-cap on some of the measures we have in place to support you in keeping your meals safe.

Please take some time to review the safety refresher below, and send us a message via Whatsapp to confirm that you’ve read and understood it. As always, please also feel welcome to ask us any questions!

Safeguarding

On call hours

Our on call officer is available to support you by phone whenever a meal is happening. This is usually between 11am-3pm, on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month (though individual meal timings may sometimes differ).

As leaders, you must:

If anyone is in immediate danger:

If no one is in immediate danger:

Once you have shared your concern the on call officer will decide what the next course of action should be and inform the safeguarding officer.

Self-Care

It’s very important to us that - as our wonderful leaders - you make sure to look out for yourself and each other as well! For example, by making time to reflect after each meal, and any of your emotions that have risen from it - whether that’s talking it through with a loved one, thinking about it on a walk, meditating, or getting your thoughts down in a journal. Above all, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you need help - whether that’s directly, or by attending a weekly leader check-in.

Our Safeguarding Policy is always available to read in full on our website here.
